Fine artist,  Lily Christoffersen is a printmaker and painter based in the west coast, has been inspiring people to connect with their unique roots and gain truth hidden in our selves and our past. By using ancient techniques and subjects, she better connects with the history of many cultures to help others to do the same and build upon it and  our nature as people.

            "With my Mother’s side all still residing in Africa, it has always been a curiosity of mine to know about my family and trace our roots back as far as it could go. I want to know who I am and where it all began.

            My mother perfectly describes it as a place where everything has a song. Being there myself I can agree with this statement. It is never quiet in South Africa. Even When the people retired to their homes, and the birds slept, the earth hums as well as the sky and the trees. The spirits that inhabited the rocks and plants around us where always rejoicing and telling their stories. This place is sacred to me. 

             I have dedicated my art to exploring my heritage and the many cultures by which I have been influenced. I want to and want to inspire others also to, discover who we are, where we came from and where we are going as a people. This world is sacred, and there is so much to rejoice in as the trees and leaves often do around us. We must only listen to these voices carefully to understand what they are saying." -Lily
